It has been almost two years since Lange Frans received a very controversial podcast recorded with conspiracy theorist Janet Ossebaard. They named Prime Minister Mark Rutte as ‘one of the people we are going to see fall’. “What must we do? Shoot that man? I’m not going to do it. I like to keep my karma clean,” said Janet.

She then again: “Exactly, and you don’t want your kids to have to visit you in a prison. You don’t want that, so we’ll keep it clean.”
A very intense fragment, for which Lange Frans has been heavily criticized. After a storm of criticism, he removed the passage from the podcast.

Now, two years later, Lange Frans is asked about it during a video interview with journalist Andries de Jong of Nieuwe Revu (see below). “You tell, among other things, that you can shoot well,” he explains to the rapper.

It causes an incredible amount of annoyance to Frans. “Nobody wants to kill Mark Rutte, nobody is going to kill Mark Rutte, and I have never called for such crazy things. That’s bullshit. That’s made of it.”
Andries: “I notice that it irritates you. You get angry again.”
Frans: “It irritates me, because you too come unprepared. You say things that are not true.”
Andries: “I didn’t hear the podcast for ninety minutes, that’s right. You read things written about it.”
Frans: “Exactly, you haven’t watched or heard the podcast! You could have typed in Spotify in the hour and a half that you just drove here and that’s where the whole podcast is.”
