Lang Xua – no experiments

By Johannes Malinowski

A stressful trip back to Berlin, no desire to cook. Citizens? Pizza? Asian? The agony of choice.

We click through the Wolt app. We quickly agree that it should be something Asian. I fancy poultry, my visit to sushi.

We quickly land at the Lang Xua restaurant. We know the nice rooms at Frankfurter Tor. Now we want to test how the delivery offer is.

I quickly decide on the Peking honey duck for 12.90 euros. My visitor takes the Massaman Curry for 9.90 euros, and because we are both fundamentally afraid of not getting enough, we share a sushi menu (18 pieces) for 9.90 euros. It takes almost three quarters of an hour until the doorbell rings.

The driver has obviously worked hard, all the dishes are still steaming, they are so hot. The Peking duck is pleasantly crispy and sweet, the vegetables are tender. The sauce is a bit too soyy for my taste. The restaurant has not reinvented the wheel here.

The curry is quite runny, but pleasantly spicy. And the sushi is also of a solid standard, as you know it from other places.

Big minus point: The two main courses came in the plastic packaging, only the sushi in a small box.
