Lands’ End restructures management team – CFO Gooch resigns

With the start of the new fiscal year 2023/24 on January 28, the US clothing retailer Lands’ End Inc. is making a fresh start in terms of personnel. As announced in September, Andrew McLean will then take over as CEO. On Thursday, the company announced a number of other changes to management positions.

Peter Gray is promoted to Chief Commercial Officer (COO). In addition to his previous duties as Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel, he is also responsible for all sales channels as well as the company’s licensing and international business.

Angie Rieger, who previously managed the Lands’ End Outfitters division, is taking on the newly created position of Chief Transformation Officer and will therefore be responsible for brand management and inventory planning for the clothing retailer.

Reporting to her will be Kym Maas, who has been appointed Senior Vice President, Product and Merchandising. The experienced manager, who most recently worked as Vice President of Women’s Merchandising at American Eagle Outfitters, will be responsible for the “development and implementation of growth strategies in the areas of merchandising and brand management” at Lands’ End.

At the same time, the company also announced a departure: Jim Gooch will resign as President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the end of the current fiscal year. However, he will remain with the company as a consultant until the end of March in order to ensure a “smooth handover” of his previous tasks. Chief Accounting Officer Bernard McCracken will initially lead the finance department as interim CFO until a permanent successor to Gooch is found, Lands’ End said.
