The US clothing retailer Lands’ End Inc. announced on Thursday evening the appointment of Bernard McCracken as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
With this decision, the company is relying on personnel continuity: McCracken had already held the position on an interim basis since Jim Gooch resigned at the end of January. McCracken has been working in Lands’ End’s finance department as Chief Accounting Officer since 2014.
CEO Andrew McLean explained why the proven employee was chosen after an extensive search process: “Bernie McCracken has been an integral part of our finance organization for over nine years and has proven to have the financial sophistication, leadership skills and track record to excel at our finance organization lead,” explained the CEO in a statement. “Having worked closely with Bernie over the past eight months, I am confident that his appointment will optimally position Lands’ End to achieve our strategic objectives and drive profitable growth.”
