The municipality of Land van Cuijk is currently stopping cooperation with the security company Secutor Security from Venray. The police investigate that company because criminal money would have arrived. This money would have been earned with drug trade.
Land van Cuijk hires street coaches via Secutor Security. According to the municipality, that cooperation has now been stopped, awaiting what comes from the police investigation. The street coaches focus on nuisance youth, just like the youth workers who are active in the Land van Cuijk. But they have nothing else to do with each other.
Vulnerable young people
Research into Secutor Security started in the autumn of 2023. The police then received information about suspected criminal money flows at the company. Dagblad de Limburger reports that investigation services have long think that some coaches are involved in suspected drug trafficking of the owner, for example by recruiting “vulnerable young people and playing interesting information about local drug markets to the top of the organization”.
The salary of his staff would partly be paid in cash and bills would be put in the administration without actually being delivered or done for it.
Six people arrested
On Wednesday there was a major police operation, as part of a large money laundering and drug investigation. There were 29 houses and business premises in Brabant, Gelderland and Limburg searched, where they have found a lot of cash, expensive cars and ‘some very expensive watches’. In Brabant were the raids in the municipalities of Eindhoven, Helmond, Someren (in Lierop) and Halderberge.
Six people were arrested. This includes a Helmonder and two people from Eindhoven, one of which is the 39-year-old owner of Secutor Security.
