Land Rover hits a tree in Ypres

Around 6 o’clock this morning, a local resident heard a big bang along the Dikkebusseweg near the water tower in Ypres. It soon turned out that a Land Rover car had crashed into a tree. The driver of that car was briefly without a trace, but he was found a little later in his own home by the police.

The driver was taken to the Jan-Yperman hospital because of the injuries sustained. He also passed a positive breath test. One lane of the Dikkebusseweg was closed for a while, but this did not cause any significant inconvenience. The Land Rover was towed away completely destroyed.
