Lana Del Rey announced in a short update video on Instagram that she was currently in Tennessee working on new songs with her boyfriend, producer Jack Antonoff. In this context, she also spent some time there with country songwriter and producer Luke Laird.

First of all, the singer was in Tennessee to watch the San Francisco 49ers’ NFL game against the Detroit Lions, as she stated in her Instagram story. Lana Del Rey also used her time in the US state in the south of America to work on a few new musical ideas. So she met with Jack Antonoff (who has already been in the studio with artists like Taylor Swift and Lorde) and Luke Laird and said that she had a “wonderful week” especially with the latter. She continued via X: “Jack is in town and I’m meeting him to work on a few little songs. I had a really wonderful week with Luke Laird and all is well. It is not her first collaboration with the two producers. Jack Antonoff was, among other things, the co-producer of Del Rey’s sixth studio album NORMAN FUCKING ROCKWELL! – and there was also a recent joint project with Laird. On January 18th, the 38-year-old shared an excerpt from a new piece with the caption: “Henry, come on”. There was also a reference to Luke Laird. In the teaser, Lana Del Rey’s typically dreamy vocals can be heard alongside an acoustic guitar. Unlike usual, country influences are even stronger here. Which suggests that the “Video Games” singer’s new tracks could also incorporate this aesthetic.
