He was continuously in the studio for four months, but now every place in Brabant has its own version of the song Fijnfisjenie!. Lamme Frans made 700 versions of his latest hit, which is also used for the carnival programming of Omroep Brabant. The first copy was handed over on Friday afternoon in Overloon.
This happened during the annual party ‘Before the church on the square’. Under the watchful eye of 3000 carnival celebrants, the royal couple of De Huibuuke received their version.
“When I released the song last year, I came home and thought: it would be nice if everyone could have their own Fijnfisjenie,” explains Lamme Frans. That is why the plan was already taken into account during the filming of the video clip last year. In the clip, in which Frans magically ends up in a choreography with himself, an extra Frans now suddenly walks through the image with the place name sign of the relevant place. The hundreds of versions also have their own video clip.
Our reporter noted that the carnival name is missing in Heeswijk-Dinther’s version. “Snevelbokland?” says Lamme Frans. “That name is too long. It didn’t fit, so that’s why I say Heeswijk-Dinther. Make that name shorter.”
Through this website anyone can have their own version, watch and download for free. Not only all 317 villages and towns in Brabant are represented: all carnival places outside are also well catered for.
