With a post on his Twitter account and paraphrasing Tom Brady -who curiously also wore the number 12-, LaMarcus Aldridge has announced his retirement from playing professional basketball.being his second goodbye after the first time he had to leave the NBA due to heart problems.
Aldridge, who played 16 NBA seasons and was a seven-time All-Star, He last played in the league during the 2021-22 season with the Brooklyn Nets and was currently without a team.

Aldridge appeared in 47 games for the Nets last season, averaging 12.9 points and 5.5 rebounds after appearing in five games for them in 2020-21. He withdrew for the first time in the 2020-21 season due to an irregular heartbeat and was diagnosed with the Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, an abnormality that can cause rapid heartbeat, as a rookie in 2007.
