With the change of season, the lala Berlin boutique in Berlin-Mitte gets a new look – and with it a new window design. Based on the title of the FW22 collection “Forever Wild”, JoAnn Tan Studios have created a new design concept. Geometric shapes floating from the ceiling, printed strips of paper that look like flowing fabric, contrasting colors – the shop window is inspired by large-scale color and pattern worlds, such as that of the Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama and a progressively interpreted look of the seventies and later New Romantics era that stood for individuality, self-confidence and freedom.
Music greats such as Adam Ant, Joan Jett and Annie Lennox combined this zeitgeist with their distinctive and unique look, which made them style icons of their generations and still inspires them today: the new looks of this season are bold, wild and a little bit nostalgic, embracing the energy transport this time into the here and now. Animal prints meet bright color accents, classic silhouettes meet playful details – playing with opposites is the core concept of the FW22 collection. “In fashion, you should take risks and not be afraid to create your own special look,” says lala Berlin creative director Leyla Piedayesh – JoAnn Tan Studios has also adopted this credo and transformed the shop window for lala Berlin into its own fluorescent world .
