L‘anniversary of the tragic disappearance of Lady Diana, a quarter of a century ago, it will go virtually unnoticed in the court of Elizabeth II. The queen, they say at the palace, will not issue written statements to remember the still uncomfortable daughter-in-law, and there are no commemorative events scheduled.
Lady Diana ignored by Buckingham Palace
At court they don’t want to repeat the embarrassment caused last year by the statue inaugurated at Kensington Palacehome of the princess, on the occasion of what would have been the 60th birthday by Diana. Not only was the work liked by few, criticized for its lack of resemblance, but it was completely obscured by the enormous coldness visible between the two brothers William and Harry.
The silence of the other family members

There will therefore be no hoped-for reconciliation between brothers on the occasion of such an important anniversary.
Harry: “My mother will never be forgotten“
Last week, in a speech delivered at a charity event in Colorado, Harry expressed his desire to be able to share the spirit of the mother with children Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1: “I would have loved mine children they could have known grandmother“ said the prince. “I hope to make her proud of me every day“.
