A Lacoste lover steals his way through Berlin’s clothing stores. Now he is in court. He’s wearing an expensive down jacket and brand new sneakers – all from the luxury brand with the crocodile!
Tamirlan M. (24) was born in Dagestan, has Russian citizenship. Lives with his mother in a refugee camp in Karlshorst. The application in the security procedure, read out by the public prosecutor before the district court, only lists the many thefts in which he was also caught.
Apparently he prefers to steal things from the Lacoste lifestyle brand: four polo shirts on Kudamm (420 euros), sunglasses (165 euros), shoes (110 euros) …
Plus other luxury brands: Gucci glasses at KaDeWe (320 euros), Armani perfume at Douglas (218 euros), Wellensteyn jackets (259 euros, 200 euros), Ray-Ban glasses (250 euros) …

Judge: “Would you like to say something about that?” Answer: “No.” Tamirlan M. snuggles into his Lacoste down jacket, taps his feet in the white sneakers with the crocodile brand.
The judge reads out a doctor’s certificate. Since the luxury lover has been getting new pills, he has been talking “loudly to people who are not present”, but committing “no more wrongdoing”, it says: “There were no more police operations in the refugee accommodation either!”
He is said to be incapacitated because he is mentally ill. On Schönhauser Allee in Prenzlauer Berg, he violently grabbed a young woman’s chest. In the Radickestraße in Adlershof he demolished two cars with kicks (at least 3500 euros body damage).
But none of this will be enough to permanently house him in a psychiatric hospital, as the public prosecutor’s office is trying to do…
