LA returns $20 million beach resort to descendants of dispossessed black owners after 98 years

Charles and Willa Bruce bought two tracts of land in Manhattan Beach with a frontal ocean view in 1912. They turned it into a beach resort for black citizens. But the government ran with the land in 1924. Now, almost a century later, Los Angeles is returning the properties to the descendants of Charles and Willa Bruce.
