Among vineyards, dunes and mountains, is this expansion of a national and international tourist inn, an icon of lodging in Fiambalá, province of Catamarca.
With an innovative concept of transportable modular architecture under the concept of “suites”, these modules arrive to form part of the existing facilities. The hotel expansion project consists of 6 suites of 26 m2 each plus a Spa unit with complementary services. In this first stage, two of them have already been installed and they will be in operation in the short term, with minimal works on site and the possibility of a quick return on the investment.
These suites welcome us with a gallery of reeds and a windbreak made of rusty sheets that liven up the atmosphere of the place. Entering through large French doors, we see that each module offers an isolated and cozy space with a particular warmth that integrates us into the environment through colored rustic ceilings and walls as well as exposed concrete finishes. Fully equipped with a bed, zoned bathroom, storage spaces, TV/Air conditioning, deck terrace and all the accessories that the traveler needs for their stay.
“Every detail was carefully designed to blend in with the environment, colors, textures and expressions of the materials of the place, such as reed roofs, wood, colors such as adobe and clay.” The Architect Franco Sapino in charge of the project of this work tells us.
Both inside and outside, the search is oriented towards the comfort of the inn’s guests. The warm lighting highlights the texture of the walls as well as is used to highlight a bed back or bathe a stone wall in the anteroom area with grazing light.
