L-Ghent, synonymous with success and legal cases

L-Ghent He is one of the most outstanding young stars of national popular music of recent times: he fills up both stadiums and the luna parkhis presentations in nightclubs and private events exceed a million and a half pesos, and he even launched his own wine Tiny 420. But his name is also synonymous with problems with justice. The most recent: after his music festival performance Primavera Soundwas filmed leading a caravan of motorcycles that were testing on public roads, in a kind of tribute to the late cumbia singer The Noba, who died precisely because of a road accident for rehearsing acts of skill with his motorcycle. She then shared the video with her more than 5 million followers. For this, the National Director of Road Safety, Pablo Martinez Carignanodecided to criminally denounce L-Gante for “promoting skill tests with a vehicle on public roads.”

“Once again L-Ghent is (bad) news, with this video. After the death of #Nobawe spoke several times with his manager, maxi the brother, and we proposed to put together a festival in memory of the kid in which all the boys would be given a message of care for life. “Yes, yes, take it for granted.” But nothing, ”Martínez Carignano recounted on his Twitter account. Then, the official went on to say that he even asked L-Gante to record a public message to raise awareness about the importance of wearing a helmet and not doing stunts when driving. “Yes, I’ll send it to you,” L-Gante would have told him, but he never sent the video.

“And now this “tribute”, as out of place as laughing out loud in the middle of a wake. It is perfect that L-Gante does not want to be an example of anything. But it is inadmissible that he encourages these suicidal behaviors, ”said the official.

But this was not the only time that L-Gante had to appear before the courts. In July, the singer was summoned to testify in a preliminary hearing for a possible trial, accused of having violated the quarantine due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 to give a show at a clandestine party. The maximum penalty contemplated for this crime was no less than two years in prison. However, in September the singer was dismissed from the case, after his lawyer, Alejandro Cipollaalleged that the artist “was only hired to work” and that the person in charge of the security and health protocols of the place was the one who organized the event and not L-Gante.

Also in February, L-Gante was summoned for an investigation in the framework of the case that investigated him for abuse of weapons and threats against a neighbor, named Brian Aruchari, whom the singer accused of having tried to rob him. The singer went to rebuke Aruchari along with a group of people. In a video where everything was recorded, the singer is seen throwing a fist against whom he believed that he had wanted to rob him. In addition, the victim of the attack reported that L-Gante had a firearm at the time and that she had even tried to scare him by aiming it at his head and even firing a shot. The latter does not appear in the video, but L-Gante was accused since several testimonies, six in total, show that this is how the events occurred. In addition, a scabbard from a 40-caliber handgun was discovered at the scene of the incident.

In September, L-Gante was also summoned to testify in court. This time, due to events that occurred in December 2021: the creator of the “cumbia 420” had attended an event at the Hilton to accompany the announcement of the duel between the boxer Chino Maidana and the conflicting influencer Yao Cabrera. But the scandal was triggered when the creator of “cumbia 420” got into punches with the representative of Cabrera and the singer “La Chabona”, Christian Manzanelli.

After the chaos, the manager told why L. Gante was furious: “I asked him why, if he is as humble as he says, he hasn’t answered me for a year when I ask him if he can record a song with ‘La Chabona’ and give him a posibility”. And from there the fight began.

The situation was recorded in a video where the singer’s reaction was filmed. “You’re afraid, pu… Are you afraid that I’ll break your mouth?” L-Gante yelled at Manzanelli. Some of those close to the singer managed to contain him and took him out of the place, preventing the fight from escalating.

“He broke a glass and wanted to nail it to me. I already sent the video to Fernando Burlando and I’m going to file a complaint. She did it in front of everyone. There were 200 people and all the filming is there. He was re-drugged and they couldn’t control him, ”added Manzanelli at the time, who told in September that during the judicial process he received several complaints from L-Gante.

But L-Gante’s friction even reaches his family life: in October, after several conflicts, his ex-partner Tamara Baez forbade him to see Jamaica, the daughter they have in common. For this, the singer sued Baez for “economic violence, harassment, threats and harassment.” After reaching an agreement regarding the visitation regime, Baez and L-Gante clashed over the maintenance quota, since the singer’s ex-partner had alleged that he was not in charge of the maintenance of Jamaica. Justice ended up ruling in favor of her mother, establishing that L Gante had to give Baez almost 1 million pesos as alimony. In any case, the young artist’s lawyer announced that they will appeal the court’s decision.
