Kylian Mbappé angry about PSG campaign

Star striker Kylian Mbappé has publicly attacked his club Paris Saint-Germain over the new advertising campaign for annual passes.

Mbappé does not like that he plays the absolute lead in a video of the campaign and that others from the team hardly appear, the Frenchman explained on Instagram.

“PSG is a big club and a big family, but it’s definitely not Kylian Saint-Germain.” At no time did he know that an interview conducted with him at a club marketing day was intended for the advertising campaign. That is why he is also committed to individual image rights for football players.

A few months ago, the World Cup top scorer had already argued with the French Football Association over image rights. Because of the handling of the use of the images, he did not want to take part in a photo session of the national team.

The dispute was about the association having collective image rights to the national team. It is also about pictures of only at least five players, which are made with advertising partners, for example. It was important for Mbappé that the players are in line with the advertising.
