KV Oostende appoints coach Stijn Vreven after 6 months…

Stijn Vreven has been working as head coach at KVO since the beginning of this season. The coastal team started the season with sky-high ambitions and wanted to be promoted straight back to the first division after a year in 1B. However, these ambitions could never be fulfilled. Under Vreven, KV Oostende picked up barely 15 points in 15 matches and is just above the relegation places. The fact that Ostend defeated KRC Genk in the Croky Cup last week was a bright spot, but yesterday the Kustboys lost against SK Beveren (0-2).

The duo Kurt Bataille and Michiel Jonckheere are now taking over temporarily.
