Kulak holds 24 hours against cancer

Central is the six-hour run, which brings in the most money that goes to the Leuven Cancer Institute. It is the first major activity in two years. About 260 students and staff participate in the walk around and through the buildings. One lap is 600 meters, but the course is tough.

But the special challenges for professors and employees have been preserved. Fortunately, Professor Muylaert can walk before he eats fermented Swedish fish tonight.

“We will have to do that outside, because the smell is very intense. What does it remind of? Ammonia, rotten eggs. I always say that I eat everything and now we will see tonight whether that is actually the case,” says Koen Muylaert , professor of biology.
