KTP will move up to the Veikkausliiga next season. The promotion was confirmed when KTP beat EIF in Tammisaari 2–1 in the Ykkönen match.
EIF still led the match at halftime, but KTP scored two goals in the second period. David Ramadingaye brought the eagles first to level and the Spanish tip Miguel Angel Junco Martinez scored a 2–1 winning goal.
At the same time, it was confirmed that HIFK will be relegated to Ykkö next season. HIFK bowed to Vaasa Palloseura by no less than 0-4 in Vaasa.
At no point did HIFK’s season get off to a good start, and the Helsinki club has been jumbo in the series throughout the season.
FC Lahti, on the other hand, is eliminated from its league place. Lahti lost to AC Oulu with a score of 1–2.
The medal battle is fierce
The Veikkausliiga medal battle continues evenly, as third-placed FC Honka lost to Kuopio Palloseura 2-3.
