Kruse on World Cup affairs: Some had two or three girlfriends

By Kevin Schwank

Max Kruse (34) already has his own YouTube series. But that’s not enough!

Now the cult striker is also starting his own podcast. And got comedian Oliver Pocher (44) on board for it. Mainly it should go to the World Cup.

“We will polarize,” Pocher has already announced. “There is little in between, either you love us or you hate us.”

And in the first video episode, Kruse knocks one out!

Kruse reveals affairs of the 2014 world champions

The suspended Wolfsburg star was kicked out of the squad shortly before the 2014 World Cup, but still knows the world champions very well and babbles an explosive secret to Pocher:

“I can tell you exclusively that one or the other in the team had two or three girlfriends at the time,” says Kruse to Pocher.

Boommms!

Last year’s Olympic participant does not reveal which players exactly it was. But one or the other World Cup hero from the 23-man squad will feel addressed …

Kruse himself watched part of the World Cup from Las Vegas. Incidentally, he immediately switched off the television when the team of national coach Joachim Löw (62/without a club) won the final 1-0 after extra time against Argentina. The ex-national player’s enthusiasm (14 appearances/4 goals) was limited anyway.

“I wasn’t really happy now,” says Kruse. “I gave it to the boys. But of course I was angry with the coach. And then it’s hard to be happy about a World Cup because you could have actually been there. I didn’t watch the ceremony.”

Last year’s Olympic participant still has to nibble at his non-consideration. “It remains tragic, even if you tell it eight years later,” says Kruse. “That was one of the things that kept me busy for a long time.”

On Thursday, Hansi Flick (57) will announce the squad for the Winter World Cup in Qatar. Kruse on the day of truth: “I have learned that the assistant coaches are always the ones who call and say that you are there.”

A call from the national coach promises a non-nomination. Kruse: “Because that’s something negative and the national coach then calls himself.”

Incidentally, Kruse himself would also be ready: “If Flick is still looking for players, I’ll be there.” However, the gambler fan did not put it on the extended squad list.

That’s why Kruse is now the expert via podcast. There will be a video episode next week. During the Winter World Cup, the duo can be heard three times a week.
