The fashion house Chanel presented its designs for the coming spring/summer at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris with actress Kristen Stewart. Stewart was seen in six different glamorous looks in a black and white film by photographer duo Inez & Vinoodh. The film was projected onto the walls of an oval, all-black room, which served as a 360-degree screen. The actress sat in the front row during the show. Stewart appeared in the film in long dresses decorated with sequins, feathers and bows, reminiscent of the extravagant robes of great Hollywood divas.
The designs of the collection, which then passed in front of the screen, were just as glamorous and bold at the same time. Flowing capes were combined with tight mini shorts, silky shiny Bermuda shorts with glittering knee socks.
The Allure collection was accompanied by an essay by French director Olivier Assayas, who worked with the 32-year-old in the films “Personal Shopper” and “The Clouds of Sils Maria”. In it, he mused on Stewart and her interactions with Chanel. Anyone who has met Kristen Stewart “knows how she walks the fine line of her time with an innate elegance and shrewdness; on either side is the abyss, but wherever she stands is Allure,” he wrote.
