Kriechmayr wins the last Super-G race of the season – Sander in 15th place – Alpine skiing – winter sports

Sander: “Would have been more”

For the German drivers, it was all about bringing the season to a happy close. But the high start numbers of the three DSV athletes made that difficult. The temperatures in Courchevel were high, and so the track became softer and slower by the minute that afternoon.

Andreas Sander coped best with it. With rank 15 he got at least World Cup points. “I felt fresh. But the snow doesn’t make it look fresh at all. I skied pretty wide-legged. In the end, I could have done better – despite the bad slope.”said Sander on ZDF.

Baumann with the slowest time of the day

Josef Ferstl started as the third driver from last and was no longer able to finish in the points. 19th place, 2.41 seconds behind. Romed Baumann got stuck several times, slipped a lot and was far behind the best time. 2.81 seconds separated his and Kriechmayr’s run. 21st place – the slowest time of the day. The German speed drivers should be happy that the mixed season is now over.
