World Champion Christian Schwarzer and Vice World Champion Stefan Kretzschmar are among the founding members of the Hall of Fame of European handball.
On Monday in Vienna, the Handball Federation EHF presented the list of 30 men and women who form the basis of the Hall of Fame.
Other prominent names are Olympic champion Thierry Omeyer from France and the Czech Filip Jicha, today coach of the German handball champion THW Kiel.
Among the women on the list are Grit Jurack and Anja Althaus, both of whom came third at the 2007 World Cup.
