Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of Russia Dmitry Kozak on Thursday, January 6, will meet with his colleagues in the “Normandy format” from Germany and France, report “RIA News” and TASS citing sources in the Russian presidential administration.
According to them, Kozak will meet with Foreign Policy Advisor to the German Chancellor Jens Pletner and diplomatic adviser to the French President Emmanuel Bonn. The meeting will be held at the invitation of the Russian side, said the interlocutors of the agencies.

Earlier, plans to hold a meeting between Kozak and Pletner, citing a source in the German government, reported Reuters… According to the agency, the advisers agreed on the upcoming meeting during a telephone conversation on December 23.
In mid-December, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced that Germany intends to return to the “Normandy format” and restart it. In particular, he discussed this issue with President of France Emmanuel Macron and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. “We have a very good format – the Normandy format, which we want to activate, restart,” Scholz said.
