Kozak Boys provided a resounding surprise in the first round of the KNVB Cup on Wednesday. The second division club from Werkendam won on penalties from Vitesse.
The Arnhem team took the lead twice, but Kozak Boys showed resilience (2-2) and was sharper from the penalty spot. Lars Hutten made the most beautiful of the evening with a huge firecracker.
NAC Breda may also draw lots for the second round. Odysseus Velanas scored in the very last minute.
RKC Waalwijk was let down by De Treffers. The Groesbeek number two of the second division won 2-0 at home. Helmond Sport also went under. Go Ahead Eagles was too strong with 3-1.
