Kovac sees wolves duo in the DFB team

Wolfsburg coach Niko Kovac is hoping for the return of his professionals Ridle Baku and Maximilian Arnold to the German national soccer team.

“The boys give all the arguments to be there,” said Kovac shortly before the game at Werder Bremen on Sky. Baku (24) has played four international matches so far, Arnold (28) has made three appearances for the senior squad. Both were last used in the 4-1 draw in Armenia on November 14, 2021.

Ridle has made a great development, said Kovac, Arnold is “the head of the team who organizes everything”. These are arguments “to apply for March”.

National coach Hansi Flick wants to announce his squad for the two games against Peru and Belgium at the end of March, probably on March 17th.
