Kortrijk is looking for extra money for the restoration of the church

The city counted on Flemish subsidies, but they are not forthcoming.

After the first fragments came down from the main portal of the church, an investigation by the monument watch showed that about 70 pedestals are in danger of breaking off. The connecting irons with the church wall have rusted through. The restoration is estimated at around 220,000 euros.

The Kerkfabriek and the city are now looking for a solution.
