The korfball players of Groen Geel have won the away match against Oost-Arnhem 27-26. The game was overtaken tonight, after it was canceled last week due to corona infections among the people of North Holland.
At halftime, the still scoreless East Arnhem led 15-11. Groen Geel was behind almost the entire game, but tied the score just before time: 26-26. In the last twenty seconds, Terrenc Griemink gave the team from Wormer the victory.
With the win, Groen Geel is doing good business in the battle for a ticket for the championship group. The Zaankanters are level with the number three, DOS’46. Both teams have six points from seven games. The top three clubs go to the championship group; the bottom three will soon play in the relegation pool for self-preservation in the Korfbal League.
