KooKoo is fighting fiercely for the last places on the top ten. Wednesday night’s visit to Kuopio went well for the opening set, but KalPa eventually rose from a 0–2 loss situation to a 3–2 win.
– It’s exciting when you play for big points, KooKoo’s coach Olli Salo your sum.
– We scored goals and played really well until the first understrength that KalPa was vaccinated against. At that point, my own playing started to slow down a bit, and we ran in every direction.

The quartet around Kymppiviiva Sport–KooKoo–TPS–Ässät is still within a point. Sport and TPS have three matches to play, KooKoo and Ässi have two.
KooKoo will continue from Kuopio until Thursday as Kärppi’s guest in Raksila.
– Let’s go tomorrow to challenge Kärppi and then see where we go, Salo says.
– You have to get energy from this feeling for tomorrow. These are great moments.
