Konyaspor President Ömer Korkmaz, Vice President Adem Bulut and Press Spokesperson Yunus Derebağ met with members of the press today.
Stating that they wanted to open the transfer season with a striker but could not reach an agreement, Korkmaz said, “We do not want to say this anymore. We cannot say that it will either be in time for tomorrow or in time for today. Because it is only about the transfer issue, Konyaspor has recently developed a phobia about transfers. Now, when we say center forward, we think of the last center forwards. “We get goosebumps and get scared. Therefore, we try to be a little more sensitive at that point.” he said.
HE REACTED TO THE TRANSFER FIGURES IN THE PRESS
Reacting to the transfer figures published in the press, Korkmaz said:
“Financially, there is a really heavy burden on the board of directors right now. Thanks to all our managers and presidents here, everyone has their hands in their pockets for this easy safe and the budget to be spent. I was in Istanbul yesterday. There is only one player in that intensity. Negotiations were held with the player. We offered the player a transfer fee of 100 thousand Euros. The player takes a photo of an article from a local newspaper and sends it to me. He says, ‘Konyaspor transferred Ndao from İstanbulspor with a transfer fee of 800 thousand Euros.’ Now you are leaving us in a difficult situation, friend. Has anyone opened his transfer card and asked me? Is there something you can’t get information about? Look, we are not really very high up as Konyaspor President or the board of directors. If you ask us, we already bought Ndao’s transfer fee for 150 thousand Euros. The problem here is; We are good together. “Let’s not trip each other up when we want to do something, friends. These mistakes have been made in the past, we do not want to fall into them. Umut Bozok calls me on the phone and says, ‘President, should we update my proposal? What should we do?’ saying. I said, ‘What happened?’ He says, ‘He reached my managers, there is a difference between your offer and our prices.’ Let’s not get into these, since we need a dime in the club.
