Kontoor Brands appoints new supply chain boss

Wrangler parent Kontoor Brands appoints Ezio Garciamendez as senior vice president, chief supply chain officer.

Garciamendez will assume his new role on November 1st, the US clothing company announced on Monday. He is responsible for all supply chain management including global operations, planning, manufacturing, procurement, quality, customer service, sales, logistics and master data management. In this position, he reports to Tom Waldron, Kontoor’s Executive Vice President, Co-Chief Operating Officer.

“Ezio’s impressive track record of innovation and excellence in the global supply chain industry, as well as his experience in introducing advanced solutions to the most complex and diverse supply chains, makes him an invaluable asset to our team,” said Waldron.

Garciamendez previously worked at digital wellness shopping club Melaleuca, most recently as Global Operations SVP. He also held various positions at the US consumer goods company Procter and Gamble. Overall, he has more than 20 years of experience in the consumer goods industry.

“His experience in delivering operational excellence and process improvements across the global supply chain, combined with his background in international manufacturing and engineering, will strengthen Kontoor’s competitive advantage in both our own manufacturing and strategic sourcing model, making him a natural one addition to our company,” says Waldron.
