The US clothing company Kontoor Brands Inc. is changing its chief financial officer. On Monday, the parent company of the Wrangler and Lee brands announced that Rustin Welton, the previous executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), will leave the company after four years.
At the same time, the group presented Welton’s successor. Joe Alkire will act as EVP and Chief Financial Officer from August 31. In this role, he is responsible for business strategy, corporate development, financial planning and analysis, accounting, investor relations, tax, finance, internal audit and information technology, the apparel supplier said. As a member of the executive team, Alkire will report directly to CEO Scott Baxter.
The designated CFO comes from consumer goods manufacturer BrüMate Inc., where he most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he had already gained management experience in the apparel industry as Vice President, Corporate Development, Treasury, and Investor Relations at the US group VF Corporation.
