Konstantin Wecker: Concert film for the anniversary tour

76 years old, more than 50 years on stage: Konstantin Wecker has something to celebrate. Not just to still be there (which not many people are granted), but to have remained creative and incorruptible over all these decades.

As a reward for yourself and your fans, there was an anniversary concert tour at the end of last year under the title “I sing because I have a song”. Wecker has enough of them, around 50 were used during the tour, including of course “When you are gone”, his ode to love and life.

The concert film, which also appears under the title “I sing because I have a song,” now offers a great excerpt. It shows the program of the birthday concerts, recorded on three concert evenings at the Circus Krone in Munich with Konstantin Wecker and his band (Jo Barnikel, Fany Kammerlander, Norbert Nagel and Jürgen Spitschka). Director and producer Florian Moser ensured that unusual perspectives on the musician’s work can be seen.

The film will be available from December 26th on Prime Video, iTunes and Google Play.
