Apache stays, Udo comes: The German rap star Apache 207 and the long-established music icon Udo Lindenberg have released the song “Komment” together.
Lindenberg said of the collaboration: “It is the mutual respect for each other’s art form that brought us together.” He attended an Apache concert and was enthusiastic about the rapper because he stood out from “normal gangsta rap”. . “Cool, clever boy, very flashed lyrics, trademark voice – and also sings super-smoothly,” added the 76-year-old.
The musician is a great role model for Apache. “I was allowed to visit him on his big tour last year in Mannheim and he me on mine. Then we put our heads together and ‘Komet’ was born,” explained the 25-year-old.
Apache released his debut single “Kleine Hure” in 2018. He made his breakthrough the following year with the tracks “Kein Problem” and “Roller”. His first EP RECORD followed.
Lindenberg has been a musician since the late 1960s. One of his most famous songs is “Sonderzug nach Pankow”. He wrote the song in the 80s when his wish to perform in the former GDR was rejected.
