In the coming season of the German Ice Hockey League, the Kölner Haie will be playing three times outdoors.
In addition to the already fixed DEL Winter Game against the Adler Mannheim (December 3rd), there will be two more appearances in the RheinEnergieStadion as part of the so-called Cologne Stadium Series.
“Due to the poor availability of the Lanxess Arena, the design of the 2022/23 game schedule proved to be very difficult. We made a virtue out of necessity and so we can offer our fans two more outdoor games in addition to the Winter Game,” said Haie -Managing Director Philipp Walter: “The football World Cup in winter and the resulting free RheinEnergieStadion gave us room for manoeuvre.”
The football stadium of 1. FC Köln will be played on December 22 (7:30 p.m.) and January 8, 2023 (4:30 p.m.). It will be clear which opponents they are up against after the game plan has been published on Friday.
