Nicholas Latifi is not going to compete at all this year.

Nicholas Latifi, who drove in the F1 series last season, will leave racing at least this year.
The Canadian said on his Twitter account that he was heading to the school bench. He had to give up his place in the Williams team at the end of last season and has not driven in any motorsport class this season.
He said in his publication that he thought about career options and ended up withdrawing from racing completely.
– I decided in time at the beginning of the year that I have no plans to compete in 2023. It feels really strange when I don’t have the same routine as I’ve had for half my life, he writes.
– When I knew that I won’t be behind the wheel of a racing car this year, I started thinking about what could be next for me, related to racing or something completely different. I decided I wanted to take some time off and focus on another path.
Latifi says that she has been interested in the business world since childhood. He has also stated that he would have already studied the field, but he became a racing driver, which watered down that plan.
Now he has been accepted to the MBA degree track at the London School of Economics.
Latif had several options when it came to racing, but with the loss of his F1 seat, he felt that now was a good opportunity to try something completely different.
– My decision may seem surprising to many. Switching to another competition class certainly seemed like the most obvious move. However, I knew that there is still life after racing and I decided that now was a good time to prepare myself for it.
– This does not necessarily mean a final goodbye to the world of motor sports. Racing has been my life since I was 13 years old. I haven’t missed a single F1 race this year.
During his F1 career, Latifi received a lot of criticism for his driving skills and speed. He managed only two points last season.
