Paris (AP) – The French Open will take place this year without the veteran Philipp Kohlschreiber.
The 38-year-old from Augsburg lost to the Frenchman in the first round of qualifying
Enzo Couacaud 4: 6, 6: 7 (2: 7) and thus missed the leap into the main draw of the second Grand Slam tournament of the season.
Kohlschreiber will probably never appear in Roland Garros again. Because the longtime Davis Cup player has announced that he wants to end his tennis career later this year. Last year Kohlschreiber reached the third round in Paris.
