The field of participants of the RSM Wealerronde is increasingly taking shape. Giro mountain king Koen Bouwman will also come to the criterium in Maastricht on Friday 3 June.
This brings the number of participants who were also active in the Tour of Italy to seven.
Appearance
Bouwman showed his talent in the Giro by winning the blue jersey in the mountains classification and winning two stages. This means Team Jumbo-Visma is represented with at least four riders. Jos van Emden, Pascal Eenkhoorn and Tom Dumoulin will also appear at the start at the Kesselskade in Maastricht. The field of participants among the men also gained international appeal with the Italian Vicenzo Nibali.
Rooijakkers
In the women’s race, 25 riders are at the start, for which Paulina Rooijakkers from Venray has also been registered. The Canyon/SRAM Racing rider has already impressed this season during the Amstel Gold Race and the Tour of the Basque Country. The women’s race of the RSM Wealerronde also has a strong field of participants after, among others, Chantal van den Broek-Blaak from team SD Worx and Amber Kraak from Team Jumbo-Visma were placed on the start list.
Start for the women is Friday evening at 19:00. The men do that an hour later in the heart of Maastricht.
