Clothing retailer Reserved is expanding its presence in Germany. The retail chain, which belongs to the Polish group LPP SA, announced on Monday that it will open its first branch in Düsseldorf next September.
Reserved is moving into premises with a total area of 2,200 square meters on three floors in Kö-Bogen II. This is where a flagship store of the financially troubled Hamburg shoe retailer Ludwig Görtz was last located. The company recently announced that it would have to close its former flagship store as part of ongoing restructuring efforts.
Martin Kanngiesser, Managing Director of LPP Deutschland GmbH, commented on the circumstances of the planned reopening in the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital: “Despite the joy about this great new location, we also feel for Ludwig Görtz GmbH,” he explained in a statement. “Precisely because of our own renovation experience, we are particularly proud to open this store. It is only through the ambition and team spirit of our employees that we are able to continue growing with Reserved in Germany today.” According to the clothing retailer, it currently operates 17 stores in Germany.
