The KNVB held consultations on Thursday with a delegation of the clubs from the top divisions of amateur football, and the competition set-up was also discussed. However, the goal now is to finish the season as planned, including playoffs.
The so-called A category, which includes first teams that play in the Second Division up to and including the fifth division, will be resumed in the weekend of 5 and 6 February with make-up matches from the first half of the competition. The second half of the competition will start in mid-March, about six weeks later than planned. In the B-category, the more recreational football, the competition will already be resumed next weekend.
