Following his election at the Annual General Meeting on May 24, Ploss is to be elected as the successor to Klaus Mangold as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, as the Munich-based MDAX group announced. The replacement is necessary because Mangold is resigning from his mandate and retiring from the Supervisory Board. Ploss will step down as CEO of Infineon Technologies AG at the end of March.
“The change at the top of the supervisory board is planned for the long term,” said Mangold, according to the announcement. The manager has been a member and Chairman of the Supervisory Board since 2018, the year Knorr- Bremse went public.
With effect from this year’s Annual General Meeting, Supervisory Board member Thomas Enders is also resigning from his seat due to other important commitments and is leaving the Supervisory Board. A decision by the supervisory board to fill the position will be made by the end of March, as the brake manufacturer for commercial and rail vehicles announced.
