From June there will be other measures that should make the streetscape a bit neater. If a building is rented or sold, the sign must be removed within two weeks. A sign with rented or sold on it is no longer allowed. If the owner engages several offices, they must all appear on one poster. The scheme will be introduced after consultation with the sector.

Jennifer Descamps, Immo Cauwe: “It is a pity, but I understand the municipality. I think it will be all right. It is a pity that the ‘sold’ is no longer allowed, because I am proud of that.”

In Ostend, a ban on triangular signs was introduced five years ago. And that is followed closely.
