The KNMI issued a code yellow throughout the country this morning due to dense fog banks. In some places the fog is so dense that visibility is less than 200 meters.
The fog is expected to dissolve fairly quickly by mid-morning, according to the weather institute. Code yellow applies until nine o’clock.
Traffic in particular can suffer from the dense fog. Rijkswaterstaat warns motorists to be extra alert because of the fog and to use the correct lighting.
