The KNMI warns of slipperiness on Drenthe roads. A code yellow has been declared that will last until 9 a.m. tomorrow morning. In addition to Drenthe, the weather alert has also been issued for Groningen, Friesland, Limburg and North Brabant.
Due to the freezing of wet road sections, “outdoor activities may be affected”, the weather institute reports. The code yellow that applies stands for: be alert. “These are weather situations that often occur in the Netherlands where it is advisable to pay attention, especially when you are on the road.”
Code yellow was also in force in our province from Saturday morning until 11 a.m. this morning. In addition to slipperiness, this also happened because of the expected snowfall.
