The KNMI has issued a yellow code for North Holland for heavy wind gusts. In the morning wind gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour will occur from a south-westerly direction. The strong wind gusts can cause nuisance to traffic.
Strong winds are accompanied by heavy rain showers. The wind is strongest on the coast of the province, but inland wind gusts can also reach up to 75 kilometers per hour.
At the end of the morning the wind stops for a while, but picks up again this afternoon. The wind gusts are then expected to be even stronger and can reach up to 95 kilometers per hour by the sea. The wind has also changed and is coming from a westerly direction.
