Amsterdam – The ombudsman of Omroep Max wants to try to force Schiphol to pay compensation on behalf of victims of the summer chaos. This is based on an unlawful act. “You have been harmed by another person with whom you did not have a contract. We are starting a trial process because Schiphol invokes force majeure. The judge must determine whether this appeal succeeds and whether Schiphol should not have done more to prevent this damage,” says ombudsman Jeanine Janssen.
