A police officer leads a young man in a garbage collector’s uniform in front of a supermarket. The suspect grins. Although a few minutes earlier he almost killed a passer-by with five stab wounds!
It happened around 8 p.m. in the Oberschoeneweide district of Berlin. For reasons that are still unclear, the perpetrator rams a knife into a man’s stomach and chest. Again and again.
At least five times. The perpetrator flees, his victim remains lying next to the “Penny” parking lot, covered in blood. Police arrest the stabber.
The victim undergoes emergency surgery and will survive. Because the man has no papers with him, his identity is still unclear. A homicide detective is investigating.
