Marieke van der Plas gone after five years
AMSTERDAM – It seems very likely that the gymnastics crisis of the past two years has led to an exodus of leaders at the Royal Dutch Gymnastics Union (KNGU). After the departure of a series of national coaches and national trainers, technical director Mark Meijer also left. This week it was announced that general manager Marieke van der Plas is opting for a position elsewhere. Is a sinking ship abandoned? Does the board do a big cleaning? Or is it still different?
