Still without use
Kyrylo Melichenko missed 21 games last season and this season at Dynamo Dresden due to a knee injury he suffered in March – now he is out again for a long time. As the third division runner-up announced, the 24-year-old right-back will have to miss several months again due to an injury to his right knee. In the coming days there will be discussions about whether and when the former Ukrainian junior national player will undergo surgery.
“The renewed injury is extremely bitter for us and the boy. We will of course support Kyrylo in this phase with all the means available so that he can be back with the team as quickly as possible,” said Dynamos Sports Managing Director Ralf Becker on Saturday. Melichenko has not yet played for the Saxons this season.
