The appearance on Friday in the media of information about the detention of the former first deputy head of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan (KNB) Samat Abish, the nephew of the first president of the country, Nursultan Nazarbayev, was a provocation. This was announced to the Sputnik Kazakhstan agency by the KNB.
“Information about the alleged detention on January 7, 2022 in Almaty of the First Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Samat Abish, is untrue and is provocative in nature,” the department said.

The detention of the son of the younger brother of Nursultan Nazarbayev was reported on his Telegram channel, citing a source from Orda.kz. However, then she herself refuted her information.
